Terms of Service

Welcome to Zed Event Hub (https://zedeventhub.shop), operated by Observer Tech in Lusaka, Zambia. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our event discovery, ticket purchasing, and organizer management services.

1. Eligibility & Age Consent

Our platform is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you may only use the platform with the express consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 under any circumstances, in compliance with COPPA, GDPR Article 8, and the Zambia Data Protection Act.

2. Platform Role & Ticketing Intermediary

Zed Event Hub functions as a technological ticketing platform that connects event organizers with attendees. Except where an event is explicitly published directly by Observer Tech:

• The event organizer is solely responsible for event production, scheduling, performer line-ups, safety protocols, and venue capacity.
• Tickets issued via Zed Event Hub contain cryptographically verifiable QR codes and unique reservation reference numbers. Re-selling, forging, or duplicating tickets is strictly prohibited.
• Admittance to an event remains subject to the organizer's venue rules, dress codes, and security policies.

3. Payments, Pricing & Transparent Fees

We maintain a strict zero hidden fees policy. All charges are transparently presented before you authorize payment:

• Ticket Prices: Set by event organizers. Free events carry K 0.00 cost.
• Processing Fees: Any applicable processing, gateway, or mobile money transaction charges are itemized and displayed clearly prior to checkout.
• Payment Gateways: Transactions are securely executed via Lenco Payment Gateway using direct Mobile Money USSD push (MTN, Airtel, Zamtel) or approved cards.
• Organizer Payouts: Payout withdrawals are processed to verified Mobile Money merchant numbers. Outgoing transfer fees (K 8.50 carrier standard) are transparently declared.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Refund rights are governed by our dedicated Refund Policy. In summary:

• If an event is cancelled by the organizer without rescheduling, ticket purchasers are entitled to a full refund.
• For attendee-requested cancellations, eligibility depends on the organizer's event refund cut-off timeline (minimum 48 hours prior to start time).
• Approved refunds are credited back to the original funding Mobile Money account or card within 5 to 7 business days.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities on our platform:

• Using automated bots, spiders, or scrapers to extract event data or manipulate ticket quotas.
• Publishing fraudulent, misleading, offensive, defamatory, or unlawful event listings.
• Submitting false payment details or attempting unauthorized chargebacks.
• Circumventing OTP authentication or security verification protocols.

6. Limitation of Liability & Warranty Disclaimer

Zed Event Hub provides its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for continuous uptime and rigorous verification, we do not make unsupported claims or guarantees regarding third-party event performances or force majeure circumstances.

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Zed Event Hub and Observer Tech shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from event cancellations, personal property loss at venues, or carrier network downtimes.

7. Intellectual Property & Licenses

All platform software, logos, trademarks, visual styling, and user interfaces are the proprietary property of Observer Tech. Open-source typography (Outfit & Inter fonts under SIL Open Font License 1.1) and icons (Font Awesome Free under CC BY 4.0 & SIL OFL) are licensed appropriately.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Lusaka, Zambia.
